Re: why all the sleeveless dress's on tv reporters

I noticed one local TV anchor in Vancouver BC that got obvious hair extensions, she used to have a short bob and then one day she had below shoulder length hair. Who knows if she had to get them or not but most women tv anchors do wear their hair long.

I say, more male anchors in tank tops and hotpants! Who's with me?? Anybody? No?

In all truthfulness, though, I would like to see better looking men on the news. If it's good for the gander it's good for the goose.

Please, please tell me why all the sleeveless dress they are wearing?Anddont tell me that they want to show their arms>It is the dead of winter,all the states have cold,cold weather,and we still see them have naked.

Probably for the same reason that every bride on earth the last few years has to have a bustier style wedding dress regardless of their size..... it's currently fashionable.

Re: why all the sleeveless dress's on tv reporters

I see this look on local news as well. Women are sleeveless in winter months while sitting next to men in full jackets, covered pant legs and ties covering necks. I keep thinking the guys should offer their jackets to the women. I also don't get showing so much cleavage. I'm not a prude, but so much serious news reporting with inappropriate fashions just looks silly. Are the women being puppets for the news channels?

I did not realize Judge Jeannie Pirro was 63. She looks 20 years younger.

She always looks so well-groomed. Nice hairstyle, good make-up, etc. Yes, she does look younger than her age.

I often wonder also about all the sleeveless dresses. It makes me cold just to look at them. It's the same as if these ladies were wearing snow suits in July.

Re: why all the sleeveless dress's on tv reporters

Seems like they're trying to capture more audience by using attractive and fit females, and showing that by having them wear a "little less", and show a "little more". It's the uniform of the majority of female newscasters right now, like the statement necklaces were for a few years. I'm thinking its a little sexist, because the men haven't adopted a similar trend of tank tops or short sleeves. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Re: why all the sleeveless dress's on tv reporters

I'm watching the news right now. The female anchor is wearing a long-sleeved tweed jacket and the woman who does the weather is wearing a long-sleeved red jacket.

I'm not understanding why sleeveless is inappropriate. I rarely pay attention to such things, and I don't see what possible difference it makes. Topless? Yes, that would get my attention and would be inappropriate. But sleeveless is certainly not s*xual or unprofessional. I just can't imagine getting all riled up about this, or even caring at all.

As long as they do a good job reporting the news, I'm happy.
