and yes, ... if it's so dang hot in the studio, now come the men wear shirts, jackets and ties?
The women from Fox news
Right wing male viewers like them Nordic. Fox delivers.
Not a bad looking bunch. Guess I rather see sleeveless on ladies that can wear that style instead of one on local news that wears very, very tight sweaters. They usually have a short sleeve and are also very low cut. (Personally I don't buy sleeveless and haven't for years.)
The woman in the top row center pic is Alison Camerota. She is on CNN's New Day.

I think it predated Michelle - I remember seeing Elisabeth H when she was one of the hosts of "The View" often wearing sleeveless dresses.
I agree. How funny that we are blaming the first lady for sleeveless dresses on TV reporters, especially considering how many comments there are on the internet blaming him for everything else that has happened in the world and in every community.
I thought the same thing!
And sleeveless is not "half naked". Seriously? We're seeing upper arms. How is that in any way inappropriate?
If you ask me......skin tight is worse than "half-naked".............
ITA.

I still believe they could dress a little more appropriate for the job. It is not sleeveless tops. It is the "hoochie mama-ing" of women news casters for ratings. It's not about the content of news but how the news person looks presenting the news. JMHO. We all know why they hike the dresses, and lower the necklines. It is to sell. They are ordered to dress a certain way. If ratings are down, they are gone. More blondes are hired than any other color of hair. Long hair is almost required. I know a newscaster in LA that was ordered to go lighter with the high lights, and raise hemline 1/2 inch to present weather. They tell you what to wear. It is demeaning to them. Most news women are NOT bimbos! They worked so hard to get where they are. The competition is stiff and fierce! They have brains, looks, energy and drive. My point is sleeveless and low neck lines, and hiked skirts behind clear desks or no desks are to do one thing. Why, oh why then do the men still have suit and ties and the women are stripped down? Double standards that is why. It will be even when men newscasters wear muscle shirts, and have to shave their chests and buff down with bronzers, LOL! That is my beef. I don't know about most of you, but where I worked there were dress codes. There are reasons dress codes are enforced in most businesses and corporations. There is your job dress, and then there is free time dress.I personally don't think the First Lady started the sleeveless trend. She looks good in sleeveless, although sometimes I think she is too casual. But she is tasteful. Women have been dressing down on TV news, and lowering necklines for at least 10 years.
Again, just my opinion.
I was actually responding to the OP, whose only problem seemed to be with sleeveless dresses. And wearing a sleeveless dress does not make a woman "half naked".

I guess being a racist bigot is not a problem for you. I am Nordic and I consider what you said racist and bigoted for saying "right wing." I hope the monitors will remove your nasty remarks.

I say, more male anchors in tank tops and hotpants! Who's with me?? Anybody? No?
In all truthfulness, though, I would like to see better looking men on the news. If it's good for the gander it's good for the goose.

I did not realize Judge Jeannie Pirro was 63. She looks 20 years younger.

Allison may be better than her predecessor but she still makes really ignorant comments. I'm not talking about her opinions (which she infuses into every story) but her actual knowledge of the subject matter. It's astonishing how ill informed many of today's news people are and it's not just the women. BTW, Allison was the anchor who's dress was so tight I could see her undergarments.

The women on my favorite local station aren't wearing sleeveless cocktail dresses this winter like they did in previous years. They wear knit bodycon dresses that have 3/4 sleeves. However the women on the other stations are still half dressed and I'm in MA where we are having a winter to end all winters...lol They just look so silly.
