Rayon 230 was probably named at the factory where it's made.  It's A fabric that feels very much like Liquid Knit but is more substantial, doesn't cling as much, doesn't wrinkle as Rayon often does, and not being a synthetic, is not hot.  It washes beautifully and comes out of the dryer without a crease.  I love it!

I agree with @Kachina624.  I have one top in this material that I got this year and it feels very nice.  I think I prefer it to the Liquid Knit.  Also, I prefer it to a similar style top I purchased from Logo earlier.

Seems to me that when she introduced it, we were told that the 230 had to do with the weight of the fabric.  It is heavier.

I agree with @Kachina624 !

And if you've ever thought her regular rayon-spandex jersey seemed too thin, the rayon 230 is more beefy. It's typically 90%rayon and 10% spandex, as opposed to the 95/5 of her regular rayon-spandex. I'll only buy the rayon 230 in her line.

"230" is the weight given in GSM (grams per square meter). Most rayon is only 140 to 160 gsm which is much lighter, thinner.

GSM is not thread count. It's the actual weight of the fabric.

I've found one Rayon 230 top with elbow length sleeve.  We need more.  I may have to start whacking off the long sleeves of some of my collection.  Long sleeves of any fabric are just too uncomfortable for summer wear in my climate.
