I like it!

 

I would wear a lightweight tee, maybe long sleeves/mock neck in the Fall.  If the stripes are black and white, I'd wear a black tee.

 

If navy, then a navy tee. 

 

And so on, and so on.

p.s.  I guess I'm watching quite a few The Nanny re-runs.

 

Nanny Fran often wears various dresses with lightweight turtlenecks, etc. underneath.

 

Love that style, although many of her dresses are very short.
