Re: self inflicted fashion rules

I actually thought of a couple more, too.

No shirts that are gathered/elasticized at the bottom.

No frilly stuff going down the front.

Shirts can't need to be tucked in.

Much as they can't be cute and/or sexy, no heels any more. Maybe a kitten heel at max, but my days in heels are over.

oh yeah --- forgot a few

Know my best colors and don't be tempted to buy oranges, olives and golds

Know best metal color for my complexion - switched to white metals over the past 10 yrs

Ah, the much hated banded bottom shirt! How could I have forgotten that one?

lol... great thread!

So many of these are things I avoid but did not mention! some, I am afraid to say I don't wear them - as if that might mean I will buy them for some reason! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Thanks OP - what a fun thread! Mine are: No costume jewelry No shorts No high heels - even though I miss them, just cannot do it anymore Always carry a great bag Have to wear earrings and a bracelet, even if I'm staying home Prefer cotton blends Love a good cardigan and sometimes use one for a jacket

Re: self inflicted fashion rules

Nothing from the junior department, no matter how cute it is.

No "liquid knit" type polyester.

No crops or capris.

No dresses or skirts, my legs have too many bad veins from having 4 babies.

No huge prints..I like the look of them on some people but just feel like it's too much on me. I like tiny, softer subtle prints when I do buy them.

Why, thank you, Sawn! I just wanted to start a thread where we could laugh at ourselves and our fashion foibles. A positive, fashion oriented post! I'm getting a kick out of these posts as well. Many of the don'ts apply to me as well - no shorts, no bathing suits and others. It's good to know we're not alone in our quirks!
