question re: Linea boho skirt

Hi, Linea ladies! I am thinking of taking the plunge and ordering the boho skirt. I am 5'5" and apple shaped, and not sure if this skirt will add bulk in the middle. I am also looking at the tiered skirt, and wondering about the effect of the puckering in the top tier. What do you think?

I am in the process of losing weight (30 lbs down so far) and need some versatile pieces around which I can build a new wardrobe, as opposed to just buying clothes, which is what I have always done. I would like fewer, nicer, multi-season pieces, and Linea seems like a great option for me. TIA for any help you can offer!
