Where did the designers get the idea a petite length in pants is 29 inches. I wear a 26 27 or I have to hem it. Most fashions are way too long. At Khols I can sometimes find a petite short, just do fit but can't find that in all stores/

Land's End will hem (some of their pant styles) to your desired length for free.

It's not just your height, but how your body is proportioned. I'm 5'2" and my inseam is 29".

I'm 4'11" and 29" inseam is what I always go for because I wear heels/wedges or boots and if I'm wearing flats, which is rare I'll go with 27"

Ditto to shoesnbags. I am 5'1.5 & my inseam is also 29". I usually have a hard time finding exactly what I need, as I normally get a longer inseam & hem it, so I thought it was perfect.

I feel the same way. I can find a true petite short with Lands End and Tog Shop mail order. I can't wear most of the QVC pants unless they are petite ankle pants. These are just the right length for me.

Always loved petite women. Not a fan of the super model long and lean look you see on the runways.

Catalog shopping has gotten easier for the petite woman. The Blair Family of online stores now has the PETITE SHORT. I think the inseam is 26. I am in heaven. I am five feet tall.
