I agree. I personally think her clothing looks like Bea Aurthur on Golden Girls, layers & rags hanging everywhere. Too much fabric! There is enough of ME, without that bulk.

I don't always like all of the layering, although it's interesting to see.......but many of Lori's pieces look great worn more simply without multiple layers. That's how I would wear them. For example, Jane wore Lori's pleat-back cardi last night in black over slim black pants with a red top underneath -- and it was classic and absolutely gorgeous! Some of the models wore the cardi with multiple layers in various colors, but others wore it much more simply. Ditto for last night's knit top with floral print flounce at the bottom. I liked it best worn simply over slim pants or leggings. Also the button-back top: I liked it when Kate wore it in white, belted, over a slim black skirt. Smashing!

You don't have to wear all the layers if you don't care for them. I wouldn't......and Lori and the hosts say and show this often. It's all about options and creativity.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion.......but I'm betting Lori will do very well on Monday nights. She and her line are quite popular.

Well that was weird......I went to bed last night and woke up this morning and apparently it's 1982 again!!

GoodStuff, I like your comment about styling the clothes. I enjoy some of Lori's creative ideas with basic items but wouldn't like to put lots of layers on. Lori is very creative and her personal style isn't mine, but I get ideas and love her on air personality. I watched the show last night and agree that Kate in the black and white looked beautiful. Lori's pieces are pricey and I won't be filling my closet with them but I will probably pick up a few here and there. As you said so well, it's all about "options and creativity". ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup}$ I'm looking forward to the new show.
