I am an hour glass.  I prefer Talbot's Barely Boots or Bandolino "Mandie".

Try relaxed fit jeans/pants at Talbots and NYDJ.

I like Old Navy for a looser fit.

Re: jean question

[ Edited ]

I'm a pear shape.  I have full legs.  They are shaply and firm but thick.  My best look in jeans is a slim straight or a boyfriend or girlfriend cut.  I have to have some stretch for comfort. Skinnies work but I go up a size and then have my tailor take the waist in. I go with dark colors.  I like to have fun with fashion and I'm not a celebrity or a model so I don't have to look perfect or please anyone other than myself.  I'm short and boot cuts and flares dont work well for me. I like a lean silhouette. Still.....   Seeing all the wide leg jeans, my mind is open to the right pair.  I like Nydj which I have been wearing  for many years.

Lee relaxed fit straight leg might work for you. They are roomier in the leg than Levi's. I've worn both brands and that's been my experience.

@wilma love these. I bought a pair on Amazon and went back for another color. They fit so well and are so comfortable while still being affordable.
