Wow!!! $50? No way!!!! I have a hard time spending $$ on an article of clothing so small. Hell, I have a hard time spending $50 on anything!!! Lol!!! I could get a whole outfit for $50.

 Anyway, back to the question.......$15 is the most I'll go. Stein Mart has some excellent 1's. I buy on sale only too!!!

Zero.  Every tank top I own came as the under layer for a top.  Most are black, one disadvantage.

I only own a few tank tops, and I don't wear them very often. I use a short or cap sleeve top as my underpinning most of the time so that if I take off my blazer or cardigan my upper arms are still covered. IMO a plain basic tank shouldn't cost more than $20. I might spend $35 if it was "special" with some kind of embellishment or design.
