i was looking at a house for sale & saw this in their basement & can't figure out what it is? anybody make sense of it?

If you are purchasing it "furnished"...I would certainly take a look at the place IN PERSON.

@alohakz     No idea....most people keep their JUNK or EXTRA stuff in the  in the basement.   

My ma had an extra fridge, and kitchen cabinets down there, and my dad had a workshop....     

When I lived at home with them, I had my sewing machine, and out-of-season clothes down there.

The neighbors had finished an extra bedroom down there for the "grandmother".....
