Since I retired, I don't wear necklaces anymore. I guess if I wear any necklace at all, it's a sterling silver chain (I have short ones and long ones). I'm strictly a silver or white gold gal.

i have quite a collection of statement necklaces and have a collection of love heals necklaces as well.

this is the year of the tassel and fringe also the long delicate neckaces and i'm buying some of them.

For me, it depends on the neckline of the top I'm wearing...I have a few statement necklaces that I wear with lower cut tops, v-necks, etc. But, I prefer lighter, more streamlined long necklaces for higher cut necklines. I have a nice collection of both.

I like long necklaces.

I want to like statement necklaces, but I feel like I'm all choked up with them. Some are just too bulky for me.

I like necklaces between 18-21" in length. If its opera length, about 36" or so, I like them doubled if I am wearing a V neck or scoop neck top.

I like certain statement necklaces but those that do not look overwhelming on me. I don't want the necklace to wear me, so to speak.

@Desertdi. Desertdi and I are of the same ilk...pile on the turquoise and silver and not just necklaces. You've got to have the whole ensemble.

I wear a pendant on a collar in the summer with scoop necks or open throat vcollars and in the winter when things have higher necks, a 36-40 inch, layered with 20 inch.
