Re: fashion RESOLUTIONS for 2014

I honestly don't want to buy anything at all this year. I feel that I'm in good shape for the spring, summer and fall/winter. If I should shift weight for some reason I might have to rethink this, but right now I plan to hold onto my money.

One specific way I plan to do this is just not to look. I might watch a few QVC fashion shows to see what's going on there, but I don't plan to spend any time in B&M stores, and will definitely stay off the internet in so far as clothing is concerned.

I'm always trying to buy classic pieces that will last. Hard to do as they cost more.

I'd love nice blazers for work, zip front or open style. So hard to find at reasonable prices.

Also, learning to mix more items I already have. {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

I'm also about 5 feet tall, so that is always a challenge. I can do ok with pants because I usually have a heel on, but tops can often swallow me. I need to work on finding clothes that fit my body better.

Another resolution - to buy early in the season when the selection is best.

With retailers having sales at all stages of the season, it makes no sense to me to wait until the end of the season to buy. I often miss my favorite colors and styles when I do.

Better to buy a few perfect things than a bunch of "compromises."

Liz,

I'm not sure what size you are, but L.L. Bean has one of my favorite blazers on sale now still remaining in a few colors (petites) and one color in regular. It is $89 reduced to $29, with free shipping. I don't know if it's suitable for your work environment or not.
