A couple of weeks ago, I was informed by my team leader that I was expected to wear my pajamas to work. (I'm a middle school teacher, and this is a first for me.) She and a few others thought it was a great idea, and the administrators believe it's our job to entertain our students. I didn't want to do it, but I played along because I'm expected to be a part of the team. By the end of the week, several students were wearing pajamas to school. It's against the dress code, but since the teachers wore pajamas, they believe that they should be able to wear them.

This is a new administration for me. Every other week the teachers are expected to dress up in a "tacky" outfit to "promote school spirit." Other area administrators focus on teaching and learning. Keeping my fingers crossed that there will be an opening at one of those schools for me! Anybody who voices opposition to these dress up days is accused of being old and out of touch.

Same thing here! PJ Day, Slippers Day, Crazy Socks Day, Neon Day, Crazy Hair Day, Crazy Hat Day, Ugly Sweater Day.. the list goes on and on. Thankfully, the faculty is not required to participate, though most of the younger teachers do. I choose to dress professionally and leave the silly stuff to the kids.

No, ALL girls did not go downtown like this - my Mom would have never allowed that.

Yes, I have seen people wearing their pajamas and lounge pants, although, not as much any more. I am not sure how these trends become so popular.

I think celebrities are photographed in the look and people think it's okay.

I think Britney was in PJs when she went to a restroom at a gas station with no shoes on. People were focused on the bare feet, but I think she was in PJs.

I'll have to go google that photo.

It just isn't right...

I....can't....stop....looking at this. Points for matching top & bottom? She may as well slip across the aisle to Subway for lunch while she's out. Appears to be with someone who could have had a chat with her. If she was in a wheelchair I wouldn't be making these comments, but she appears capable. Maybe just got released from hospital and cupboards were bare? Could she be filming a 'What Would You Do' TV episode? Is there a positive side we can find? Maybe she doesn't care what anyone thinks and most of us spend a lifetime trying to get to that place. It's a stretch, but I tried.

nope, I'm the wrong demographic for that. I prefer to keep my nightwear to private times at home.
