From the pictures it seems cigarette jeans are more jeans while skinny jeans are more leggings. I wouldn't feel the need to wear a long top with cigarette jeans

Dear lolakimono,
I have an idea since you speak Spanish in Spain we call them "pantalones pitillo", my favorite brand in the US is Rag and bone I think that the cigarette ones are slightly less tight.🌻

Thank you! Never hear of that brand. Very nice but too rich for my blood.

@QueenDanceALot wrote:I always thought that "cigarette" was just a term used for the shape of the jean.
But it is a retro term, I suppose when cigarettes were still O.K. with people.
I would sltill buy them and I don't smoke. I hate cigarettes.
All the big name movie stars of that era wore cigarette pants. It was the shape. Oh! Heavens, I cannot believe we have brought up cigarettes as politically incorrect for jeans. What next!!!!!
I pray God will lassoo the insanity in today's society and return us to the sanity of yesteryear and away from the childishness of today (just back to the 80s would be a big help) . Lord, let this generation see that everything is not about "me" and "I" but about others as well. What one loves today, they may "hate" tomorrow, a term that should be erased from our vocabularies, what should be the most politically incorrect word ever written.

@songbird wrote:OK. Ciagarette jeans have a wider opening. AG stands for Adriano Goldschmidt the designer of the jeans. These are premium jeans. Jeans start at $178.00. Cigarette jeans are making a comeback. All jeans (except for boot cut) skinny, cigarette, straight come back strong in the fall because of boots. Which are still huge.
Here is Rag & Bone Cigarette (more expensive $250.00)
I'm not sure I care what they call them though it is kind of interesting to learn why.
I love the look of these & would like some in a deep, dressy indigo. I'm OK with a subtle wash but a sharp indigo can take my breath away!

I got the jeans! They fit and are really nice. Love the color! Like a baby blue. They are a bit long, but I rolled them up. It fits through the thighs, but a bit looser in the calve area.
