I like velvet, especially during the holiday season. I have a black velvet dress, a black velvet skirt, and I recently ordered a red velvet top from Evine for a Christmas party.

At one time I owned a navy velvet blouse that could be worn casually with jeans or you could dress it up.  Right now I only own a velvet muffler that i purchased at Neiman Marcus on sale years ago.  It's hunter green with this beautiful fringe in some type of faux fur that is curly.  Cat Very Happy

Yes, only if it is matte - not shiny.  Made well, can be luxurious with a feminine vibe.Woman Happy

I have a black velvet blazer that I wear every fall and winter. Since it is classic in style I can dress it up or down. I wear it with dresses, skirts, and jeans. I also own a pair of blue velvet loafers that look great with jeans. I used to have a velvet skirt but it didn't fit me anymore so I donated it.
