Re: anyone notice a difference in color for mossy crepe

I felt the skirt was short as well and even though I have 'great gams', there are times when it starts to look like you are trying too hard when the skirt is too short.

Its on a par with after a certain age a two piece bathing suit may still fit you, but its a style left for the teens and twenty-somethings IMO.

Same for me.{#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

My problem, too. Sent both magenta pieces back. I would have kept them had the skirt been longer. But I know Louis has to please his customers who want to show their great gams (if I had them, I might be so inclined, too).

My turn will come again.

ETA: I just thought, I had better amend my response. Someone might have "great gams" but prefer a more modest length to her skirt. I was speaking to my own shortcomings.

My issue is my 60-something knees and the fact that I do feel far more comfortable (& look better) in an age-appropriate length. That length is usually at the top of the knee to mid-knee, depending on the style.

MY issue are the crop of varicose veins 6 pregnancies left behind Smiley Wink It's an inherited thing...Which, by the way, is why I LOVE Louis' tights. I just had the Q cancel my waitlist for another pair of black animal instinct Smiley Sad How I wish I had gotten a whole BUNCH of those.

Re: anyone notice a difference in color for mossy crepe

I really like the top more than the skirt. Although I ordered based on the click here measurements and could probably have worn a size smaller. However, I had ordered the navy skirt the first time in the size I usually wear in Linea skirts and it felt too tight so I ordered the next size up when I re-ordered and it is a bit too large - sigh!

I'd rather have it loose than too tight and with the top over it, you can't see that it is hanging on my hips rather than fitting at the waist. I may go have it taken it so it fits correctly.

However since the top is big on me, I'm considering ordering another one and seeing if the color of that is closer to the navy of the skirt. If it is, well I may keep both tops because one of these may really be black not navy.

QVC makes this a lot of work and it shouldn't be.

I think wearing opaque tights is a great solution to the too-short-hemline dilemma in fall/winter, but in warmer weather that option disappears sadly.

If the Q would allow designers to do a hem, when it's possible, that would help.

Re: anyone notice a difference in color for mossy crepe

I've been reflecting on the too-short (for me) skirt in the moss crepe today.....And I realized just how long it has been that I have been waiting for Louis to come out with a longer dark navy skirt. That would be YEARS ladies! And I've been following him for a good 10 years here at QVC. Yes, he finally came out with a dark navy boho in 2013 and yes he came out with a maxi dark navy feather jersey in 2013. But I have waited in vain for years for a longer pencil in dark navy or a simple long all-purpose like the mid-calf WK skirt for example (which doesn't look like it will be a reorder in any colors) in a dark navy. It's been a l-o-n-g wait. The ponte knit dark navy skirt and this one both fall into the too short category for me and the georgette dark navy with the pleats at the hem doesn't fit the all-purpose category for me. Lots and lots and lots of Linea black skirt options have come out during that same 10 year time frame.

I am HOPING that the Linea Leisure boot skirt in dark navy will begin to fill this void for me. If it is not straight enough, I may be taking it in on my sewing machine.

Re: anyone notice a difference in color for mossy crepe

There was a rayon/span jersey last year in the navy, Owl, along with the ponte maxi that came in navy. Either of those could be shortened. Maybe someone is selling on ebay or Linea Lovers in your size?

Re: anyone notice a difference in color for mossy crepe

How on earth did I miss a ponte maxi that came in navy???? Item number or time-frame?

I missed out on the rayon/span jersey by being asleep at the switch Smiley Wink My life got quite a bit complicated about a year and half ago and I DID miss some important things apparently. {#emotions_dlg.mellow} Thank you for getting that on my radar crdlb ! I'll check out ebay. But in the meantime, I'm holding some hopes for the LL dark navy boot skirt Smiley Happy
