? about Denim & Co crop pant sizing

I am very new to Denim & Co. so not too sure on the sizing. I only have one pair of Denim & Co. pants (A6756 in size 12)more ordered but not here yet. For those who have both the jeans and crops do they run true to size. Would you recommend the medium 10/12 or the large 14/16. I normally can wear a size 12 in most brands (lee, etc.). I was just concerned that the medium might be too small if they run closer to the 10, but the large might be too big! I hate pants sized in sm/med/large instead of regular number sized.
