Last year, or maybe two years ago, we had a thread to share our fantasy dresses to wear to pick up your fantasy Oscars.  

If you were nominated in any category of your choosing, what would you wear?

This one caught my eye.  It says it's vintage, and so am I.

(I'm not positive about this exact shade of green, but I like the shape and the overskirt.)

I'd be picking up my "Best Original Screenplay" award.

The sparkly dress in Shampoo (finally saw it yesterday) that Julie Christy wore.  Of course you need her shape to do it justice.  I like sparkly.

Years ago, I bought a Ralph Lauren dress cut very much like it, with the high neck, long sleeves, low back (but not that low), only in velvet.  I thought it was amazing but never wore it.  It's still hanging in my closet.  Maybe for inspiration?

I vote for the pink one ! That's a fairy princess dress.

Just hope all the strapless gals remember to wear a drop dead diamond necklace to break up the landscape. Who wants a bare neck line.

They should be able to afford some kind of nice bling.

At the very least borrow some serious  jewels from the big names.
