This is motivating for me too.  I have just got to do better financially this year and make wiser decisions.  The past few years, I was under a lot of stress from things in both my work and personal life and I realize that I have been using shopping (mailnly online shopping) as an escape.  Now some of the stress is gone, but I have gotten in the habit of just buying whatever strikes my fancy whether I need it or not.  So my goal this year is to try to change my shopping habits and maybe not buy stuff just because it is at a sale price.
