I ordered a maxi dress.  I don't know why I should have one or where to wear it.  I am a senior female and it really doesn't flatter me at this time.

What am I not appreciating here?

@Puzzle Piece, you can wear a maxi dress almost anywhere. Put it on, go somewhere, and enjoy the day wearing it. I'm sure you will look very nice.

I like them for the summer. They are comfortable and airy.

Sometimes we just have to give something a try.....then we are pleasantly surprised.

I bet you look very nice in your dress.

Sometimes I find myself going into a fantasy mode of thought when buying clothing.  I imagine the places where I'll wear it but the reality is usually much different.

I think it's good to occasionally get out of our comfort zone and go with something new & different for us but still something that you can realistically see yourself wearing.

Most of the time I try to fill in what I think I either need or could really use.

How does the dress make you feel?  I know a lot of women like wearing dresses in the summer and will wear them almost anywhere.

I wear them almost everywhere.  If I know I will need to use stairs more than once or twice I won't wear one.  Stairs can be tricky with a maxi.  I wear them for me because I like them but almost always when I am out and about wearing one I get compliments.

If you're not feeling it maybe it's just the style that's not for you - they're not all the same.

Congratulate yourself for investigating and return it.

@Puzzle Piece  Despite their popularity, I do not own nor have any plans to buy a maxi dress.  They remind me of school marms in the Old West--LOL!!  Plus walking city streets is difficult enough without the possibility of tripping over the dress.  An easy pass for me.

Puzzle Piece,I'm 5 foot and I got a regular small in a dress,  you may just need to get use to the look of the length on you.  Just enjoy and maybe don't order another maxi.
