@Andreatoo There was an old mint in there...does that count? It is a sight for sore eyes if you have bad breath!

I think I have that jacket in a green color. It is beautiful I also have 2 washable suede jackets by Louis, and I think his first TSV suede from years ago a suede jacket with scroll work. I have that in brown with blue scroll, black with red scroll, and green with purple scroll. I still wear them. I also have the shell's that match those jackets.

sandraskates wrote:@AnnabellethecatIs the HSN woman you're thinking of Terri Lewis?
I think she started as a host and then branched off into her own line of clothing, mostly in leather. Although I never bought any of her clothing it was lovely. Haven't seen her in years and have wondered what became of her.
Terri was a host on HSN for a long time before starting the clothing line. We'll never know why she didn't revamp her line to the lower standards the shopping channels went to (as in not much genuine leather, suede, wool, and no silk), and resurface again on HSN or another network. Even if she didnt want to tackle being a vendor again, she had extensive experience on air, and so it's surprising that we haven't seen her as a host or a vendor representing someone else's product.
Another one who disappeared completely was HSN's Maggie Sweet and designer, Daniel Kiviat. He was doing what Susan and Slinky do using stretchy polyester 30 years ago. I suppose after HSN had success with Slinky's knits and they started shifting toward celebrity brands, there wasn't room at the table for Daniel.

I have a silk Victor Costa jacket with all types of dog on it. It is great, I remember Victor saying the dogs were all the dog friends that his dog had. I will never give that up.

Joan Rivers talked about classics and I think the OP found just that. Why buy new when you have better quality hanging in your closet?

Just want you to know that you sound like the sweetest person in the world. I enjoy the forums too, especially getting to 'know' people like you. If I lived closer to VA I would volunteer to come help you purge your possessions. Of course you want to donate them to someone in true need. You and/or your DH worked too hard to have things go to a grifter. Perhaps you know of a church ministry that could use the profits of your beautiful items for the greater good. Quality clothing can go to a Dress for Success type program to help a displaced worker reenter the workforce. Other clothing in good repair can go to a woman's shelter. Often these women leave their homes with nothing but the shirt on their back. Toiletries & undergarments are needed too.
Anyway, thank you for your sweet post. You made my day today.
Happy New You, @Annabellethecat66, to you & yours. May 2017 be good to you.

Unfortunately, l don't think we'll ever see the beautiful, quality leather coats and jackets that used to be offered by Bradley Bayou, Terry Lewis, or Pamela McCoy, at reasonable prices.

@deedledeedeedle Thank you for your kind words. They are appreciated. You, my dear, are one of the reasons I come on this forum. There are so many here like you, kind, sweet, just nice people who like people. I tried to teach my girls if you greet someone with a smile you will get a smile back. I think that's the way we were made, it's hard not to smile back.
It isn't always easy for (I think) any of us to come on here and kind of 'bare our soul' (so to speak) but I do it because I know I won't be made fun of and get rudeness back.
I think most of us just generally want to connect with others because when we do it makes us realize the more we THINK we are DIFFERENT, that's how much we ARE THE SAME. In other words when I feel like the world is against me I know I can come on here, connect with all of you and just feel better. I might see a funny text or picture or someone will just text, "cheer up, I know how you feel".
Again, I hope the new year (2017) is good to you but I have a feeling it will be because I think you have the right attitude in life and that makes a world of difference. My daughter teases me because I work really hard at finding the upside of things (sometimes not easy) but it usually works...stay safe...fondly Annabelle/Linda

I remember Terry from HSN as a hostess and vendor. She was such a beautiful lady. I have a leather jacket from her and it is still beautiful. it was a today's special and fits so well even to today. I also enjoyed David and his line on there as well. The lady with the Gabrielle T sweaters also did a nice job on QVC. Those sweaters look like something you could hand down to your daughter, the colors were lovely. Wish they would bring something back like that style again. All of of you are so nice on here. I love clothes and I am always interested in the talk about the fashion as well as donating and cleaning out the closets. Wish you all a healthy and happy 2017.

This is so funny--I retired 6 years ago and have given away so many clothes to an organization that helps women trying to start back to work, however, I did keep some very favorite things--This morning I got 2 jackets from Louis out of the closet and am going to take them to be cleaned (hope it dosen't cost a small fortune) one is deep burgandy in suede with the leather trim & gold brads and the other is a deep teal suede with leather & matching sequins--the man does make some good-looking clothes--hope you enjoy wearing yours--do you think we will look overdressed in today's casual world?--I really do miss the days of suits & dresses--geez--Am I old
