I feel the same way. QVC has really raised their prices in the last year way out of line if you ask me.

I just don't understand why they are doing this on all of the lines too because when people don't want to pay they will flee QVC and they probably won't return. QVC is not making good choices lately.

People need to start voting with their dollars.  That's the only thing QVC understands.  I don't give one hoot about designer names.  What I look for are quality items with fair prices.  If QVC stops providing those, I won't think twice about looking elsewhere.  The "V" seems to have left in QVC clothing.

Re: Wow things are getting expensive

I used to do all my clothing shopping while we were in Pa. for the summer because Pa. does not have tax on clothing. Now we aren't snowbirds anymore I will have to shop locally or on the internet - though I prefer to try on clothing - and pay the tax.

I definitely notice the difference. Prices are higher = taxes are higher.

Even her lunchtime specials are sometimes beyond my price range.  The top that is a LTS today has been in my wish list for a long time.  Reduced from $45 to $34 + $3 s/h.  $37 for a simple top is still more than I would pay.

You can get "crazy good" values & styles elsewhere. Even great quality in stores like Target, Kohl's and even Wal-Mart.

I saw her newest crops with button trim in the New Arrival section yesterday and did like the top that aired yesterday with the lace looking design in the black and beige color way - put them both in my cart and looked at the total and was like “NOPE”, did not need or like them that much.

She has such pretty stuff shame she or somebody puts them at such high price points. I spend fortune on clothes, but, I can't spend almost 100 on a pair of pants to many times. LOL

Re: Wow things are getting expensive

I usually try to stay out f discussions about price becuase everyone has their own opinion of what is fair, too much or a bargain.  However, I have to agree with the opinions here that the price point of Graver's line has gone beyond my idea of a fair price for what it is.

Using the capris this thread was started about as an example, I can think of several stores where I can find twill capris for less than $70.  I'm not only referring to Target, Dillards, Kohl's, Penney's.  Using promotional coupons, or watching for sales, I can find twill capris in higher end stores like Neiman-Marcus and Nordstrom for $70.

I agree.  QVC doesn't really have sales, and their clearance prices are a joke.  They quote the QVC price, which the items often never did reach.  In reality, they take $3 - $5 off and call that clearance.  Other stores have true sales, and really mark clearance items down.  Plus, if you order from other stores, when you reach $35 - $50 in your total purchase price, there is no shipping fee.  There is no real bargain, for the most part, when you shop with QVC these days.  When I buy shoes at other places, I pay no shipping, and am able to return for free, if they don't fit.  I think twice before I buy shoes or clothes on QVC these days.  They refuse to be competitive with other on line sites.  It's there choice, as it's my choice to shop more at other sites to save money on the same items.

I don't mind paying a higher price to get a higher quality but QVC has higher & higher prices with lower & lower quality.
