Many times I've come outside thinking "I'm ALL THAT...sizzle" when I look down and I have on two different color shoes! Then I look at my outfit and it looks like I rolled on the floor before I left the house (fuzz balls).
I have done that with shoes before. The worst was when I went to a wedding with two different earrings on. Didn't notice it until I saw the pictures our daughter took. No one said anything, wish they had, I would have taken them off. Maybe they though I was styling a new fashion trend. Was so embarrassed, and they were totally different.

Survived is right. Couldn't evacuate because all the pet friend hotels were already booked and you can't bring pets to the shelter. I could not leave them behind. We watched the house fill with 4 ft of water from the attic. Scariest night of my life, didn't know when/if the water would stop. But I'd do it again. My pets would not have survived if we left them behind.
Anyway, that's over and we came out okay on the other side, my insurance came through for me big time. But I'm a different person today because of the experience. Material things don't mean much to me anymore. I'm now of the mindset that less is more which is why I wanted to wear the black shoes. I'm only replacing what I absolutely NEED. But I love the suggestion of pewter shoes so I might NEED those!
Thanks everyone.

Also love the suggestion of tying it together with a black and navy scarf!

I think it's acceptable but I am not a fan of black and navy worn together. I prefer one of the metallic colors or cream or bone.

I hear designers saying over and over how much they love navy and black together. One of my favorite new buys is a light navy and black blouse. Really attractive, I must say.

Why not?

I have these from Munro, and they're very comfortable! They're on sale now at 6pm.com.

Of course you can but i think it depends on the dress.I have worn a navy sleeveless dress with black dress sandals and a black necklace of some sort and maybe a black handbag. It looks classy.
