Would you rather have a purse/handbag from M. Kors or Dooney?

I'm sure Q sells Dooney, and looking at Pinterest this a.m., saw some plain but beautiful bags today. Some of the M. Kors were very pretty too. I've never owned either. Both were so pretty.

If you own both kinds, what style do you like? The ones hanging from elbow area seem so large. I try not to carry that much anymore. I know they have quite stylish for some time now.

Wonder what really makes you enjoy your bag? Arm, shoulder, size, design, what?

I prefer Michael Kors. Although Dooney is a quality bag, well constructed, lasts forever and that makes them a work horse, they are very heavy. If you have problems as I do now in the shoulders it makes them very difficult to use. I will simply not carry a bag anymore that causes me physical pain.

Michael Kors does have some stylish , well constucted bags, most seem much lighter to me than Dooney if that matters.

I prefer MK. The styles are more modern than D&B, in my opinion of course.

Both are great quality, so it's just a matter of preference in style and cost.

Michael Kors....I own several and love them.

I agree with jjsmom ., I frind Michael Kors to be much more stylish. I never considered Dooney to be very stylish, just durable.

Michael Kors. I have about 4 and they're all very well made, stylish, lightweight and easy to carry.

The workmanship IMO is top notch. I paid full price in his glory days and it was worth it. Now, I can find them at a great discounted price but with the same quality. I've never had an issue with the hardware or leather.

As a matter of fact, while on my cruise my cough syrup bottle opened and spilled all over my small navy pebble leather MK crossbody and I was able to just take out the lining and wash it out. The lining and the bag remained intact. I got the bag for about $110 and it has become my go to smaller bag.

I haven't bought a Dooney for a long time due to how heavy the bags are and how the style factor is rather limited.

The handles on my last MK bag conpletely split apart on the underneath side and looked terrible. I really liked that purse and had to quit using it. I used my first Dooney for three fall/winter seasons and it still looks new.
