Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

When it is known that an item is NOT TRUE TO SIZE then put this information on the screen, say this in the presentation and put on the web listing.

Case in point: Linea Leisure....I ordered my usual size on line. Now reading these boards these things run small. I am expecting to have to make a return.

I wear Aerosoles. Just ordered and returned a pr that were way off size. The Q might not have known about the sizing but the manufacturer should have.

When I can order name brand clothing from Nordstrom with free shipping both ways or shoes from Zappos free shipping both ways, why mess with Q?

When I order from just about any clothing catalog or web site they always have suggestions for sizing: follows the lines of the body, if in between then order up. etc.

Someone said the Q has become a reality show!! So right.

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

It would also help if every garment listed online has the click here measurements as part of the description. A recent item purchased from the Linea Leisure line _-the Petite pants is MISSING the Petite click here measurements!! I had to look at the Regular click here measurements and order accordingly with fingers crossed!!
PTL when the pants arrived, I chose correctly!!

Sending feedback to someone in the webisphere is a bust too-- I get a form letter back telling me it will be sent to the appropriate department who will take care of it. As of today, the click here measurements are still not posted for the garment!!

$3 S&H which BTW is only for 'Best Standard Delivery' or UPS Ground may be a good thing, but in my book, its still more of the same snake oil practices this company does to its consumers.

A few have calculated the cost outlay to the Q and from us when we return something now with the 'new policy'. We lose our original shipping refund and we have to pay either USPS or their Smart Label $6-9 depending on what method you want it returned.

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

Adding another comment or two: Sizing is important and the one and only chart is not going to do it. Unless they standardize all their clothing people are going to buy and the garments will not fit. You cannot know before you have actually tried something on. More descriptions rather than less will be important. And perhaps my 10 petite isn't measured the same way as a 10 petite by another company.

What they are going to be doing is cut down on returns. Yes, sounds like a great business decision, doesn't it? However one too many returns by an individual unhappy customer will in the end cause slowing of sales. I AM NOT GOING TO BUY SOMETHING IF I HAVE WHAT LOOKS LIKE A RESTOCKING FEE just because it did not work for me based on something the Q did not describe correctly.

Should be a shopping cart approach for shipping and handling and the original shipping should be paid back in case of a return.

Interesting walking into Costco. Lines of people RETURNING for whatever reason. Full refund. The store is booming. That is where I shop because of the way I am treated. And I do not take advantage and return for the sake of returning.

ITA. I remember when all clothing was the same size, it didn't matter who the vendor was. I also remember when the host would say certain measurement sizes as they were being shown on the screen. I never had to send Denim & Co. or Sport Savvy back. Now I don't buy clothing unless it is from the QVC Outlet store & I can try it on.

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

This is why I do ALL MY ORDERS as check orders. I have to read the measurements first and then make a determination. Each garment is different and a 1X is not always a 1X. I keep a cheat sheet that lists each vendor, and the garment measurements of what I have purcahsed that fit me PERFECT. Then I compare the new item to those measurements.

For example, Bob Mackie, then I'll have Bust, sweep, length..then when a new item comes up at least I have a comparison point. This has helped me greatly.

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

Just because the size chart is up doesn't mean the garment measures are within that! I bought 5 pairs of D and C jeans, all the same size. One pair fit perfectly, while I couldnt even get another past the hips. One pair was way too big, and another was still too tight. These were in all different colors and although were labeled the same, were NOT the same size. They would not pay return postage because they didn't deem it as "defective". Thus last year, I only bought 6 things from QVC all year....my shopping is way down from previous years.

I agree with the OP. Give us more information on the garment, sizing, colors, material and less about your children, family, trips and how "you would like to see this" worn. I don't care about hosts opinions or personal info....at a minimum of $9.95 per garment return, that is a minimum of the original $3 S&H plus the $6.95 return label. They are trying to curtail returns by not refunding ANY of the postage while supposedly doing better on S&H rates. Weigh it out.....they are still high. Buy it locally and don't worry about S&H at all!

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

I'm with Jeanne Bice on this one. Remember how she used to get annoyed when they started showing size charts? For me, if I need to know, I need to use the Internet because unless they put it on the screen and left it there for at least 30 seconds, it would be of absolutely no use to me.

I do feel for the percentage of buyers who don't use the Internet, but they are also the people who order by telephone - the phone reps will give them size info. I know this because although I come here all the time, I have never once done my ordering via the Internet.

Re: With new return policy QVC needs to show the sizing chart during all clothing presentations

Yes, I need the actual measurements of the item - just the bust size for a tunic probably isn't going to do it. Also the hosts are so busy doing everything BUT telling us about the garment and how it fits that it has become a complete guessing game as far as sizes.

I also agree that it should be the responsibility of the vendor to talk about the fit of the garment -- size up, size down - I don't want to have to guess.

Also this nonsense about "choose your regular qvc size" is just that. I can check the click here measurements (and I know my measurements) and the item I receive will still be incorrectly sized.

I ordered the OTO jacket from LDO and used the click here measurements but based on some of the comments from people who have received it, I may have chosen incorrectly.

Well you know what, I think I'm going to choose to shop elsewhere -- I don't see where this policy actually benefits the customer - it's another example of smoke and mirrors from QVC.

I would have absolutely argued that. They are definitely defective when they are all supposed to be the same size and clearly are not.
