The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Lahore Airport today to meet the city's governor before they undertake an emotional visit to the same cancer hospital visited by Diana in the year before her death.
William, accompanied by his wife, Kate, have travelled from the capital Islamabad to the bustling city of Lahore, where they will make a trip to the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.
The couple were greeted this morning by officials and a posy of flowers before going into the airport terminal for a private meeting with the Governor of Lahore.
Upon arrival in the provincial capital, the royal couple was warmly received by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudhry Sarwar at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.

Will and Kate told a story to children with finger puppets today as they visited a centre for local orphans in Lahore during their five-day tour of Pakistan.
They visited SOS Children's Village, a charitable organisation in the heart of the city established in 1977.
The SOS Children's Village, which is attached to a school, provides a home and family structure to over 150 young girls and boys, and promotes the development of children into happy, confident and resilient adults.
Will and Kate joined a birthday party for one of the children, which involved games, music and traditional Pakistani cakes, and the duchess said a few words, her first speech of the five-day tour.

Their Royal Highnesses excitedly joined in a match with children who are participating in the British Council's DOSTI programme - Dosti means friendship in Urdu - at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

In a few years, these children will be older adults and they will look back at these pictures and remember how pretty the queen of England was when she was a duchess who came to visit and played games with them at a birthday party. What great, newsworthy pictures but even more important for those in attendance, are the pictures for posterity that they can look back on when they are middle-aged and elderly and think how lovely the queen of England was when she was but a duchess and how fun she was and how beautiful.

Such a beautiful outfit on an elegant woman!
I adore the earrings and the embroidery on her jacket. Love the way the buttons echo the earrings.
The lower heels look so much better...and I like how she tied her hair back and switched to sneakers while on the field.
I'm sure such extensive travel is grueling, but they both look like they enjoy each and every engagement.

She is, absolutely, lovely as well as beautiful. Regal but warm and a perfect representation of the Queen and Great Britain. Her outfit is beautiful and a tribute to the country she is visiting. All her outfits for this State visit are beautiful and representative of the country she is visiting. A perfect score!!
