The traditional ensemble is called a shalwar kameez. Also worn by Diana on her visits to Pakistan. I posted some pictures on the other thread.

Kate is expected to wear green in honor of the flag of Pakistan. And to possibly incorporate the national flower which is jasmine.

When I look at Kate's ensemble, it looks "wrong" somehow to me. That is, it looks more like a dress that she decided to throw some pants under. I don't know it's the length or the shape of it or what. It might be pretty just as a dress, but I don't like it as she is wearing it.

The pant is perfect. It is a nod to Pakistan fashion. It doesn't look like she just threw it on. It is the exact same material made to go with the dress. Perfection.

If you're talking about my previous post, I understand that it is a nod to a traditional Pakistani ensemble. I understand that the pants were made to go with the top piece. I just don't like the way it looks.
