I don't always use the buttons and zippers, but I want them there just in case. I also think closures make the garment look more polished, finished, and more expensive. JMO. I don't own any cardigans or jackets without closures.

while i do have buttons and zippers on some jackets, toppers, outerwear, i virtually NEVER use them, so they are never missed by me. when i get in a car i would have to unbutton/unzip anyways because i feel claustrophobic and uncomfortable. even in the dead of winter i dont use fasteners.

love open jackets, toppers, kimonos. so much more comfortable.

you are in luck though......there is a parka being featured as a TSV this week that has a zipper!

While they're at it, send them some clothes, like Denim & Co or Susan Graver or KIm Gravelle(sp?) for Josie Maran.  She looks so cold.  She needs some clothes to keep her warm.

I will zip my heavy coat but everything else I wear open.  I won't buy any wrap that has buttons or zipper.
