I think wearing the style of jeans that you feel you look the best in is the best advice.  I own skinny, straight leg, slim leg, baby boot, regular boot, wide leg and baggy jeans.  I wear what I feel like wearing on any particular day.

@Pink123, wearing what one imagines that "most men" would like is kind of outdated thinking, although you're certainly entitled to it.

I, for one, am beyond thrilled that wide leg jeans have made a comeback.  They fit my tall, stocky, thunder thigh body better than anything I've purchased for well over 20 years.  The closest thing I could find that would fit my shape were men's relaxed fit jeans that included carpenter jeans.  Even then, the fit was hardly perfect and I sure didn't enjoy the look of most men's jeans but at least I had a pair of jeans that I could wear.  I used to go shopping and come home in tears after trying on 20+ pairs of (mostly men's) jeans without any luck.  Before the wide leg jeans made a comeback, I was able to find some men's jeans I liked better at, of all places, Rural King.  I've actually purchased 5 pairs of jeans in the last year and am ecstatic. I will be purchasing more to stock up.

Even now, there are still options upon options of straight leg, bootcut and various other style jeans for those that don't care for the wide leg style.

I like wearing a variety of pants & jeans styles. Purchasing what's in my budget range and what's flattering on me. I skip the trends that are extreme or not flattering to me. I'm skipping the extreme baggy and barrel, but they look good on others.

Q offers a wide range of styles and price points, what's the issue?

This year I've purchased several wide leg styles from PLW and LOGO. They offer contemporary styles and are priced reasonably.
Today I bought 2 LOGO wide leg jeans - the Medium Denim Wash and the colored denim in the Chocolate Torte. Glad to see Q offering contemporary styles 🙌

@Calibeach That's what I do.  I wear what I like.  I have some wide-leg jeans from last year LL Bean I love, and I guess every leg style they have made.

They used to cost a lot more than QVC.  Now not much and the quality is better.

@Sooner  It's fun to switch things up based on seasons and trends. I get inspired each year to see what's new/trending and already in my closet. And usually just buy a few new things. The wide leg jeans are new additions for me.

This year I have a short shopping list and nothing too outrageously expense. LOVE the color trend of brown which is everywhere at a range of price points. My most expensive purchase so far is a new Nash bag that has finally shipped (Advance order). I'm still searching for ankle boots as replacements.

@Calibeach I would guess it has been 20 years since I bought a pair of boots.  I find them uncomfortable and where I live, few occasions to wear them.  I think they look nice with outfits, they just are something I don't wear.  I hope you find some you love!

Re: Wide leg opening!

[ Edited ]

I went shopping at a mall in the larger town in my upstate area, and saw a lot of wider leg trousers.  I enjoyed looking at a couple of big stores and picking up a Chanel stylo eyeliner.    I didn't find a formal gown for my grandson's wedding, but saw many things I would buy if I was still working full time.

edited to add:  Saw a lot of shorter or cropped tops and jackets at all price points.

I'm definitely a big fan of wide-leg pants, palazzo pants, etc.  I love the long flowing look that they provide.  Also, give me a good pair of leggings or skinny leg pants with boots, and I'm quite happy.

@Mom2Dogs

A couple of posters here helped me with this during the summer.
They are Susan Graver's  "FULL LEG JEANS" and the leg opening, while giving the impression of being wide, isn't.
