Anyone else have trouble finding a true wide calf boot? I really like some of the tall calf boots but the wide offered is only 15 inches, which isn’t close to be wide. If you have any suggestions for a QVC item that works for those with wide calves, please let me know!

Sorry that should say close to being wide. I need more than a 15 inch calf.

@Belle_Femme

Gave up looking for any height boot for wide calves many, many years ago.  The universe was giving me an answer, lol !

I bought a pair of wide calf boots from QVC years ago.  I don't have any other experience prior to wide calf but I don't think they were "that wide".  I've hardly worn them.  Maybe twice (they're uncomfortable in the back of the heel).  Should of returned them.  Anyway,  I came across a video on social.  A woman said the best wide calf boots she has purchased (and she has purchased a lot) is from Lane Bryant.

@Belle_Femme  - check out the Woman Within website.  They have wide calf tall boots.  Read the descriptions carefully, though, as some of the offerings are "leather like" and not genuine leather, if that matters to you.

@Belle_Femme   You are 3 weeks too late!  QVC offered wide calf boots as a TSV, Vince Camuto.  They are nice and were gone fast.  I was lucky enough to get my order in, they were mostly gone around noon.  Maybe check around periodically for returns, because this is not the kind of thing QVC brings in often.

As a lover of tall boots with big calves, the other thing I would recommend is boots with stretchy back panels.  I bought several such styles from HSN in the past that worked well with my wide calves, but I haven't looked there in years.

QVC offered a wide calf friendly tall boot last year with a stretchy back panel, and it is still available in limited sizes:

I wore these quite a bit last year, and they are very comfotable.  The back is not super attactive, but it does the job.  It's a Clarks Caroline style, and I searched for other shoes in the same style, and did not find them as comfotable.

The boot is also still available in Amazon in limited sizes.  If interested search Clarks Caroline tall boots in Google, and you should be able to find them,

If neither of these work for you, I recommend just look for boots that have a stretch fabric panel.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info @skatting44.

Franco Sarto has several other styles of wide calf boots in their website, but they are not for wide feet.

These are pretty!  They are called Padova.

I don't care for the boots that have the stretchy fabric in the back half.  At most I might buy one with a stretchy narrow panel down the middle back.

Boots didn't used to be so narrow.  I never had trouble buying boots when I was younger.  It seems to go hand in hand with how skinny slim leg pants have become and how a lot of sleeves are now tighter.  It seemed to start with Under Armor for me, but now other blouses have skinny arms.  It's like designers think skinny = fit, but actually fit = more muscle and we need room for that.

I also need more than a 15" calf (mine is 15 1/2"), but I thought that was normally the measurement for a regular calf, not a wide calf.  The last pair of regular boots, actually cowboy boots, was 15 1/2" but that's measured on the outside, so I have a bit of muffin top with them as much as I've tried stretching them at the top.

Most wide calf offerings I don't like because the shaft ends up being vase-shaped.  I want the straight shaft of the regular sizes.  I did buy a wide calf Marc Fisher boot several years ago, I think it was here, if not it was HSN, which has a straight shaft and works for me.

But, the struggle is real for us boot lovers.  I had one pair of boots that had a short zipper on the top part in back.  I couldn't close the zipper, but leaving it open wasn't an option either as it flopped between and scratched my legs.  I had my shoe guy remove the zipper and put in eyelets that I could thread a matching shoestring or leather string through.

Had that problem in the past but in recent years, there has been an explosion in wife calf boots at all price points.  Remember there's shopping outside of QVC.  I think QVC is behind when it comes to wide calf boots.   Go to the Naturalizer website and you'll find wide calf leather boots.  Visit the Duoboots website for wide calf and extra wide calf boots.  The Eloquii website has wide calf boots last winter.  I don't know about now.
