I haven't had a lot of luck with Evine except with summer dresses (and some leggings). I travel a lot for business and don't like to wear sleeveless dresses in most work settings. You might search both short sleeve and 3/4 sleeve dresses on their site and see what comes up. You could be pleasantly surprised.

I agree! I've been looking for years for a MAXI DRESS with at least elbow length cute sleeves. Can't find any that are also cute and pretty.

I always try to find things in the spring because once the summer things come in its mostly sleeveless. But, with each passing year, it gets harder and harder to try and keep the upper arms from flapping 😳
I tried to do the three quarter sleeve thing but with my long arms, that just looks funny on me I think, so I still wind up with a cap sleeve length on most things and try to not lift my arms as in a choir director motion 😳 LOL
the knees were the first to go, but now the arms aren't far behind 😳. Someone needs to invent body suspenders 😳.

Yep. Yep. I'm right there with you.
No matter how trim I get or how much I work out, my upper arms are not going to be fit and slim. For whatever reason, the tight-upper-arm train has left the station.
It seems that 90% of dresses are sleeveless this time of year. That means letting a lot of pretty dresses go by.
For maxi-dresses, it might be 99%. (I guess a maxi dress has so much material, that adding sleeves might make it look too heavy/busy. I get that. But really, isn't there a solution?)

This is a timely subject for me!!
I'm going to two weddings this summer and have been looking for something to wear for weeks now! I feel that I'm supposed to wear a dress or skirt but I'm not really a dress person.
Since I don't normally wear dresses I was pretty disappointed to see 99% of all nice dresses are now sleeveless. Sure I can get a shrug but most of them don't appeal to me. They tend to look hot (as in sweater!) and way too short.
I feel that most women's chain clothing stores cater to the very young or tend to be frumpy. Not counting department stores or QVC the only chain clothing stores that I can think of for women over a certain age is either Chicos or Talbots. Both are a hit or miss for me.
So after hours of hunting for an outfit that would look attractive, appropriate, feel cool & comfortable, and not make me look fat I stumbled upon a small boutique near my house that sold lightweight silk jackets with 3/4 sleeves. There are gorgeous!!..light & airy semi-sheer in stunning colors! I bought a blue silk which I will wear over a black silk tank dress and I'm thinking of getting a second silk jacket in different colors to wear over the dress for the second wedding.
I was with a friend when we went into the shop and she loved the blue silk that I got so much she got a different one for herself just to have.
My problem of arm coverage and still feeling comfortable for these upcoming weddings is solved for now....but still I don't understand why this is so hard?!!! As another poster mentioned if a dress does have sleeves then it will be mid thigh. I need knee coverage too and don't care for maxis. I like tea length which is the most attractive on me.

I am over 50, and I agree about all the sleeveless dresses. I hate having to find something to wear over the dress, especially if it is warm outside. I prefer a short sleeve (not cap) and IMO they are harder to find than 3/4 sleeve dresses. A 3/4 sleeve is just too hot for me in the summer.

I'm gratified to learn that so many of us have the same complaint. This week I ordered 6 elbow sleeve dresses online, after finding nothing in the local stores. If I can get one dress out if it, I'll consider myself lucky. But just think of the inconvenience and expense of having to return all the duds!
Maybe I'm being overly sensitive but to me it's yet another example of ignoring those of us of a certain age. We want to look good, not frumpy. We want pretty designs that flatter, made of good quality fabrics and construction. Many of us have worked a lifetime and have the money to spend on nice dresses and other garments, yet somebody somewhere has decided it's not worth paying attention to what we'd like to wear.

Alexia Admor-
Tbags- (XS only, this one is my favorite)
