Why is everything costing more?

I know I have said this before, but why is EVERYTHING costing more? First I noticed handbags was costing more. It was that you could get a nice bag for under 100.00, but now it is costing over 200.00 The clothes are crazy now. Is it just me or is QVC just wanting to sell to people that can afford big price tags?

Its not just QVC the price of everything, everywhere is going up.

I notice that about a year ago . When shopping plus shipping I've tried to stay in the 50.00 range. There isn't much you can buy in that price range any more.

I think it has to do with shipping and the China issues. I never realized that we get everything from China that we need to make thing in the USA. I tried ordering. Bulbs and they wanted 13.00 for shipping so I didn't order.

I was just thinking this. I ordered a couple of linen dresses from Garnet Hill a couple of years ago. They are high quality and have held up well. They have the same dress again this year about $30.00 more. I am just going to keep wearing my older ones this summer and will check in the summer for a clearance sale.

As we have all seen in the news recently, the United States and China have been levying tariffs on certain goods that are being imported into each country. I hope that these tariffs will soon be lifted and we can all get back to business as usual.
