Re: Why do the new bee pins cost so much?

I'm perfectly happy with my little gardenia bee pin, it was worth the price to me. But I don't need any more.

Re: Why do the new bee pins cost so much?

I have to admit after posting my dismay at the increased costs of the little bees, I broke down and purchased another one after all. After reading about the gardenia bee which seemed to please most everyone and gardenia being my mother's favorite flower, I had to add it to my collection.

As a Pediatric/NICU rn,( retired now) BJ was my name as it was easy for anxious parents and children to remember and I could wear one or two on my shoulder or in my hair without a worry about breaking a sterile field. So, I have been a fan of the little bee for years and currently the real life little guys need help out there. In my area there are individual and co-op bee keepers who are trying to revive and increase the bee population. So I try to support them and their efforts as much as possible. I wish I could have a hive or two but one needs LOTS of green space,etc for that to be successful.

The bees worldwide are in serious trouble. Thank you for helping the bees! {#emotions_dlg.wub}

The little gardenia bee pin is now on waitlist. I'm so glad I got it when I did. It's a little treasure.

Because Joan is gone and they only have a limited time they can fetch a tidy price for her creations, soon her ideas will be used up and you will be supporting David's ideas and supporting Melissa so she doesn't have to work.

I suspect the reasons already posted are correct (because they can!).

I hope David Dangle (sp?) reads this. I have several dozen bee pins, and I wear them, but the $50.00 price range on the new ones are just too high.

Instead of "hoping" David reads your comments, why not actually make your thoughts known on his facebook page? {#emotions_dlg.confused1}

Sadly, I wouldn't hold my breath for the prices to go down, no matter who reads what or where they read it.

It wouldn't matter to me, I won't be getting any more. One is enough, although I've bought others as gifts in the distant past.

Super nice post. I enjoyed reading it, and I agree with everything said!
