I don't understand what the OP means by "after her design input is not in the merchandise, she doesn't know what they are going to do to keep Joan "alive" in the product" ??
I never even considered that after they sell all that Joan herself designed, which could last for a very long time, that her line would continue. Why would anyone expect for it to? If Joan is not the designer and creator with her dreams and visions, it wouldn't be her line. Is the OP and others of you expecting someone to come in and take over Joan's vision and just crank out stuff with her name on it ? It wouldn't be her stuff ???
I can't imagine that happening, unless I'm very, very wrong.

I doubt Joan's designs will be presented in a year's time, don't think she worked a year ahead even - & QVC & David seem to be saying they are going to continue w/her shows past that. As I said before, I doubt I will be interested in just David's designs (altho, yes, I know he is a big part of the product, Joan was the end product) & I certainly am not entertained by just David. He's not Joan, period.
Re: Quacker Factory, I don't watch the shows now, & Angel is not Jeanne. Look at the styles now, nothing like when Jeanne designed them. They also hardly ever talk about her, let alone show photos. Not interesting anymore. I am curious as to what their sales are now.

Nancy looked lovely last night in Joan's black sequined cardigan, black turtleneck and pants, and Joan's statement silver necklace. I've never seen her look so good, and she's a pretty woman. She also seems very down to earth, no phoniness, and has a great sense of humor.
David mentioned during last night's show that they have some gorgeous things coming out next year, so it seems Joan's fashion legacy on QVC will continue for some time. I think he's charming, and shows so much respect for Joan.

Didn't read replies so far, it's almost noon and one of her shows is on right now.

Joan was always very careful to say 'we' rather than 'I' when talking about the clothes designs.
I think the 'we' will continue designing until the popularity of the line fades. We won't notice any difference because 'we' was probably doing most of the work.
If I had to guess how long it will last, I would say the jewelry will fade fairly quickly although I wouldn't be surprised if they try to bring back some 'classics' to keep it going. The jewelry needed Joan to sell it.
The clothes are a niche market - the short/petite older lady. I don't know what the demand is like for that. Maybe they'll ramp up the accessories.
This is not like Jeanne Bice's line because there's a huge demographic for those clothes, with or without Jeanne.

The second show today was nice too. Some pretty scarves. Hope they keep it going.
