Re: Why all the jackets and sweaters?

Tweed Short Jacket with Pearlescent Buttons 0

Denim Trucker Jacket

Not a major jacket wearer here, but I'd have considered buying a pretty, feminine style of jacket over a "Bridgehampton" gauze version of a men's trucker jacket. Sometimes I wonder where the design team at Isaac Mizrahi Live draws its inspiration.

That Chanel copy is a beautiful jacket.  I would definitely buy it.

The weather is erratic these days.  In Pittsburgh today could be nearing 88 and tomorrow they are calling for 76.  Somedays you need a sweater, some days just a tee.  I buy it all.  I like to know that when the opportunity arises I don't have to scrounge around for something  appropriate to wear

Re: Why all the jackets and sweaters?

It's in the high 90s where I live and is ramping up to 115°-120° which is typical for our summers. I carry very lightweight spun rayon cardigans to throw on when I'm indoors if the a/c is too chilly.

Re: Why all the jackets and sweaters?

I live in hot, humid SC and I agree with @wilma .  Jackets and sweaters are a part of my dressing and I will continue to wear them year round.  I may carry the "topper" into a store, my office etc.  But I have one with me almost all the time.  I also purchase them year round.   I can certainly understand why some don't wear them, but we are all different.

Re: Why all the jackets and sweaters?

I live where it hits 80 at noon and 55 at night, so at night at present so, we need sleeves.  Even at the sun begins going down, we get can get very cool weather.  However, I will wear sweaters and jackets, year-round, of the right weight.  I will wear linen jackets to church and outings.  I will wear lightweight cotton sweaters to same.  I love sleeveless blouses because I like the look of many of them and for church, they are perfect as I wear a jacket over them in summertime.  In spring, where I live, we can have daytime high of 75 and drop to 35-40 at night.  In So California, I have seen 90-degree days and at night, the temperatures were very cool.  So wherever you are, if you have air conditioning, air cooling in your home, at church, restaurants, or Mother Nature has air conditioned your area/your home, there is a need for a jacket or sweater for a finished, polished look with many dresses, blouses, etc.  Not everything requires a sweater or a jacket, but many items of clothing do.

Thank you very much for the compliment. I get them from people and it makes me believe I'm doing something right with my style.

It's pushing 90 degrees here in FL. And yes I realize that everyone does not share the same weather but I personally have zero interest in sweaters and jackets as we approach May 1st.

Then don't buy them.  We don't care.  QVC doesn't care.
