White soles on most Skechers shoes.... really?

Am I the only one that dislikes (which is a mild term for how I feel) white soles on Skechers (and other brands) shoes? They seem to understand with black and gray shoes that the sole should match the body of the shoe, but for all the other colors, they use white. This is particularly horible (in my opinion, obviously) on shoes that are somewhat dressy. So many navy shoes that I would like, but the white soles stop me. I have actually bought some and painted the soles, but the paint chips off.

Am I just way out of the fashion loop?

I won't buy shoes with a white sole, they look ugly in no time.

You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

I like the look of the white soles (and white shoelaces).

Takes a bit of effort (wash the laces and white shoe polish on the soles) to keep them looking "nice."

To me the white soles on casual shoes that so many men wear with suits looks odd. I prefer dress shoes with suits. And, yes, I'm old, but, that's my prerogative.

prefer white or the same color as the show. The worst are the black soled shoes that leave black skid marks on flooring -Ugh . Old skechers from abt 18 yrs ago had thick black soles that left marks all over my flooring .

You are "out of step". White soles on sneakers have been all the rage for a few years now. I hate white soles because I have to wash the soles after wearing them. Don't want to wear shoes that look filthy with dirty looking soles. Impractical.

I don't like the white soles either whether I'm "out of step" or not. It will keep me from buying the shoe.

I like the white soles on shoes, especially the thick white soles on slip-ons...that's what makes them a fashion statement otherwise an ordinary type of loafer.
