I'm weird. I like a true crew neckline.

I have a long, thin neck and small chest.  So any horizontal or higher neckline works well for me because it counteracts the vertical line of my neck.  Crew necks actually look great if you are thin on top with a long neck.

When I was young I loved turtlenecks, but now they seem to hit right where the skin sags a bit under my chin.  I definitely don't want to draw attention to that area, so turtles are now out. On this list, the jewel, halter, bateau, cowl, sabrina, and illusion would work for me.

@shoesnbags

My sister has the same issue .... loves turtlenecks, but stopped wearing them due to sagging.

Only a few I don't care for on myself:

jewel/crew, asymmetrical, grecian, cowl, halter

Love the halter strap & Queen Ann.

I like a v-neck, but often they're way too low for me. In winter, I can do a cami underneath, but way too warm for our springs/summers.

Most of the time, I default to crewnecks or button up shirts that I leave unbottoned at the top if I want to show jewelry.
