It's wonderful that you can purchase inexpensive glasses and look for options, such as you're doing right now. Consider yourself fortunate. The cheap ones don't fit me at all. Doesn't matter the brand-they just don't fit. The second I try on expensive/designer frames I get a nearly perfect fit and have come to the conclusion that these are designed for those of European descent, perhaps. Anyway, I paid an arm and a leg for Casal sunglass frames in 1994 and still have the frames - 5 prescriptions later. Get complements on them all the time and they are the best fitting frames ever. My regular glasses are Prado. Same deal - great fit on my impossible head.
Believe me, I wish I could buy cheap!

I have $900 glasses from the store in my eye doctor's office, and have also ordered others (progressives, reading glasses and prescription progressive sunglasses) from Zenni. I can see well with all of them, so I'll certainly keep ordering online for future needs.
I have ordered from ZenniOptical.com and from Googles.com. I paid about $10 for my last pair of glasses (single lens. )Because they are so inexpensive, I thought they would be awful, but for $10 I took a chance.
I am glad I did. I now have about 5-6 pairs. I have insurance, but never use it for glasses, just the eye exam. It's cheaper without my insurance and I can see just as good.

I don't wear them very often and don't want to spend an arm and a leg on them. I know Sears, Macys, and Walmart are places to go. Does anyone know if they are good? Maybe someone can suggest a place I haven't thought of.TIA
When you get them done .... be sure to have a back up pair, just in case.
I like Lens Crafters and always wait for their big sales.

They're a big rip off.Personally unless you go to a Eye Specialist..I don't think any of them differ really. Most of them are pretty much the same from what I have found. I have insurance so my cost is for transition lens..I last time bought frames on Amazon..I know what size I need..and I wanted designer glasses and the frames were less then 1/3!
If you are looking for cheap low cost ..I would go with Walmart.

I can personally recommend zenni optical. I bought 4 pairs from them on the internet. They have a website. The glasses I ordered from them are better than the ones I bought in stores.........You just need an RX under a year old.

Sears is running a buy one get one free sale until April 7th. If you choose to order from an online retailer, Walmart will adjust the fit for you.

I ordered $25 frame, tinting, clip-on, non glare...the works and only paid $67. I have single vision, with a prism ...no bifocal. It is weird because they didn't ask for prescription. I have one from my ophthalmologist so I had all the correct info including the pd measurement. I wonder if I will need one next year? I have a small face and was able to choose frames by my preferred size...very cool. I can't wait until they arrive.I can personally recommend zenni optical.
