Re: When wearing a blazer, do you push the sleeves back....

Good morning @San Antonio Gal . No I wouldn't push the sleeves up like that. If I turn the cuff up more than once because sleeves are too long, I get them shortened.

I do long sleves in spring and summer, but they are lightweight cotton or linen shirts or lightweight knit tops. I only wear a blazer or linen jacket for a trip to the mall or a restaurant where it's usually chilly.

Not since the 80's when I was mimicking Madonna, in "Desperately Seeking Susan", and I had a vintage teal men's tuxedo jacket, that fit me "boyfriend" style, and I'd roll and jugge up the sleeves. (ps. worn with pink lace leggings no less, and a big pink bling vintage brouch on the lapel lolol)...it was cute then. ha...I thought so. Smiley Happy ps. Still have that jacket and the brouch...NO I don't wear it...I'm a saver....Halloween? It's still a cool looking jacket....kind of like The Cars cool, but cool. 😎

At any rate, no I don't push up the sleeves on any of my blazers now...that look is very 80's, to me...we all did it then...as someone said....very Miami Vice too. I also have a pet peeve with the mfrd jugged sleeves that come that way...UGH...to me it's "dumbed down" clothing when they "do the trick" for you and sew it in. Big NO for me.

I think Shawn may get away with this look here because maybe that jacket is the ponte kind...people wear those more casually.

I did buy a Dennis Basso spring blazer and the lining is beautiful, and the sleeves a bit long on me, so I'll fold back the sleeve to show the lining on that.

I do own a couple 3/4 sleeve cropped jackets from LOFT...they used to be big on those 3/4 sleeved jackets. Not everyone's a fan of a 3/4 sleeve, in tops or jackets, but I like them; they come in nicely during spring/summer.

@San Antonio Gal I used to wear blazers with 3/4 sleeves (preferrably) or cuffed them if the sleeves were long my blazers were usually lightweight for work.

If I get hot, I push or cuff the sleeves. Otherwise, I leave them as is.

No, I don't like that look at all. I don't push sweaters or knits back like that either, I find it stretches them out.

I do not. I think it makes a blazer look sloppy.

Must be a retro 90's  style habit . I remember the  jackets that had the sleeves all rouched up  to give the style . I've seen these rouched jackets  being sold recently .

No , I don't  scrunch my jacket sleeves up, because it's a real pain steaming out all the wrinkles  and I don't wear a gazillion bracelets to show off.

Shawn & Amy are stuck in the 90's , but I do see  Dennis Basso  having the models scrunch up the  sleeves. Maybe it's a NY style that never went away

Not on a tailored one, but I have pushed back my sleeves before but not to that extent...
