Re: What's Your Holy Grail Turtleneck?

I know this is an unpopular response, but I still wear dickies!

I am just turning into a turtleneck person.  I tried a SG liquid knit one but it went back.  The IM Pima cotton one is nice but not perfect so my hunt is just starting.

@tansy- such a great book!!!

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I never thought women wore turtlenecks anymore. I never see them on anyone and I definitely live in a very cold winter climate. Hmmm

Back in the day, when the Q sold dickies, we had more fun on the boards with double entendres.  The brought out the junior high in all of us!! Woman LOL

(Unfortunately, I the junior high is still alive and well in the mean girls kind of way.)

I recently switched to LLBean.  Bought one on sale - loved it sooo much, I ordered 3 more in different colors.

@ID2, I know you were speaking generally, but I can't be alone in having a wardrobe of turtlenecks in different fabrics ranging from the classic turtleneck to humongous cowlnecks; long sleeve, short sleeve and sleeveless.  The only turtleneck type I shy away from is mock.  I have a long skinny neck and look like a longneck goose in a mock.  My favorite is a classic style black long sleeve merino wool.  Brand doesn't matter.  My present count of classic long sleeve black merino wool turtlenecks is six.  The total count in my wardrobe of turtlenecks and cowlnecks is close to 30.

Re: What's Your Holy Grail Turtleneck?

I have a bunch of mock necks ,because  I am not tall ,and a turtle neck is just too long ,unless I fold it over twice. That only works if it isn't heavy material

I have a few I haven't worn, yet. I think I really like one by Joan Rivers ,that buttons on the side, and can be worn flat ,if you  wish

I have a couple of velvet mocks ,that I like a lot, but still haven't worn

I love that look. Its classic ,and don't worry I live in an urban area ,that is filled with them, and it's in Mi.
