I recently purchased a cute top with a kind of flounced bottom - similar to those Lorie(?)

designs.  It is taupe and I guess I have never had anything in this color before.  It is cute on but I don't know what to pair with it.  Any suggestions?

Taupe is neutral...I can't think of any color that looks bad with it.

Taupe is the ultimate neutral and will go with anything.   I especially like to wear it with turquoise and coral.  It makes a nice crisp look with white for summer.  It's very versatile.

I just recently picked up a twin pack of Slinky tops with bell sleeves. One of them was taupe which I didn't already have in my wardrobe. It looked fantastic with a red and black print skinny pant

I know I could manage perfectly with taupe shoes and black shoes!!  Taupe has always been my favorite neutral!!

Classy color combination.  I plan to wear a taupe peacoat tomorrow with a black cashmere turtleneck and some black wool gabardine bottoms, black boots, pecan Brahmin bag, silk leopard scarf and gold jewelry.
