I also find the Soma brand to be consistent with other brands. You just don't want the leg opening to be too big if you get the Vanishing line. The silicone must lay flat on your upper leg to get the benefit.

 

They last forever. I only know they are worn out if the leg openings no longer lay flat.

This thread reminded me that I needed to restock my panty drawer so I went shopping online.  I was looking for 100% cotton since we're getting into the warmer weather and I  like the breathability of cotton. I saw the brand "Best Fitting Panty" on the Wal-Mart site and it had good reviews so I  ordered a 2-pack for about $4. That's less than I usually spend on panties so I'm curious what the quality will be like. 

 

I don't really have a spending "limit" per se, I just buy a panty if I like the style, fit and fabric but I don't think I'd pay more than $8 for one pair, especially if it's not shapewear.
