I prefer the length that Dennis Basso usually does.  Everywhere I wear his coats people go crazy over them!

Overly long coats wrap around my legs!  

AND they're heavy!

I like 3/4 & knee length.  I am short, so these are perfect.

My preferred length is to my knees.

I prefer my coats to go just above my knees but I have one winter down coat that goes below my knees for the extra extra cold days.

Ankle length is my favorite. I have a wool one that I absolutely love. And no it never gets tangled in my legs.

My favorite coat is like this one. I call it a fingertip length. Nice warm leather for chilly days.

I like my coats to hit me upper to mid-thigh. I guess this length is called a "car-coat".

It covers my bum yet still gives me enough freedom to move around easily. Of course when it gets really cold then I will wear my longer coats which mostly go right above my knees. I never wear coats longer than knee-length...I'm only 5-3 and I think they make me look shorter which I don't want!

@Snicks1Dennis seems to stay around 32 in.  That works best for me.  I hate my legs to be wrapped around.
