What is the point of calling QVC a store?

I put this in fashion because Amy Stran does this constantly in her shows.  I"m sure its intentional, but I can't figure out why.

QVC is a store, if it's not a store what is it ????   They have merchandise to sell, we buy that merchandise, we pay for it.  That's a store.  QVC is a retailer.

What would you prefer it be called? I call it a shopping channel. B&M are stores to me.

[ Edited ]

In the sense that it offers shopping experiences and sells products to consumers, QVC is a store. In the sense that it hasn’t a physical presence for shoppers, no physically displayed merchandise, no cashier, no way to immediately carry home a purchase,  it’s really a digital or online retailer. In the sense that society and technology have already coined  a very accepted name for this type of entity,  it is called a shopping channel.

Why does it matter what any host calls it, except if you own up that it might be a personal irk hearing it other than what  you conceive QVC to be?  Do you also argue that the checkout feature should not be called a shopping cart or use that symbol so literally??

A rose by any other name is still a rose. Whatever you call QVC is probably just as right as what someone else calls it.

I don't know why she does it, but I don't consider it a store.  It just consists of warehouses all over the country from which orders are shipped.  I also don't consider Amazon a store.

@depglass  What would you call it? QVC is a full-service retail store, as Amazon and a host of others. Even brick and motar businesses offer on-line shopping. It's where the money and convenience is for our lifestyle. Pay attention to Wall Street! Welcome to retail in this century.

It might be technically correct but I don't like it when she says it either.
