Poshmark stinks. Used them for 4 years sporadically. Just yesterday ripped me off by $129.66 by charging the wrong card and refusing to change it. Beware. Their customer service is obscure, automated, no humans and bad all around.

@Icegoddess

I've never seen anything high-end on Thredup.  I have purchased a few items from Poshmark and they were sold as high-end, but when I received them, they were worn to death and one pair of expensive shoes, the soles had come unglued.  Not worth $125, that's for sure.

really?

louis vuitton, chanel, alexander mcqueen, prada, bottega veneta, and more? its all on thredup.

Re: What is the best resale site?

The seller who sold me the shoes now says they are the ones pictured. She had bunches of shoes together but her lead photo shows the matched pair. Anyway why would I knowingly buy shoes that don’t match. If I lose this appeal I will be fuming. I think it is a classic case of bait and switch!!

I never saw a lot of the above-mentioned brands, just very few and things that did not appear to be in good condition, things I might not like.  Most of what I saw were brands that I can buy locally, try on, buy at a sale price, seeing in situ condition and fit.  So, after a few times, I never returned.  Perhaps it is better now than when I was there, so I will give it another look.  Thanks.

Poshmark

started on eBay

so both

they each have good and bad

I didn't continue with Mercari as they need a credit card to complete the sign up process to sell,

for a beginner Poshmark is easier take pix, list, they send you a label you ship

@PodyPo

I found that out when I got the shoes without soles that had come unglued for a ridiculous price of $125 were not the size advertised, but 1.5 sizes smaller.  The box they were in was a different brand marked 8.5 and inside the shoe was size 7.  The soles had come unglued at the toe area.

A Henri Bendel handbag was supposed to be 10 inches wide x 7 inches tall and I could not get either a wallet or a cell phone in it.

Lesson learned.  I could not find any way to deal with human beings and sent the pictures of how they looked on their page and how they looked as I received them.

I use local consignment.  I don't want to deal with all of the packing and going to the PO everytime there is a sale.

@ECBG  - No trips to the PO required.  The postman picks up packages free of charge during your normal mail delivery.  Very convenient.
