What is it with all these new prints !??!

Lately it seems as though designers think they need to outdo each other with these outlandish prints. I feel like I would stick out like a sore thumb if I walked out on the street, into a grocery store, or just about any other store, wearing one of the new prints. It seemed to start with SG, then Isaac has some that are kind of "out there", and now even George Simonton! These "kooky crazy" prints (to quote SG) are everywhere now.

They are apparently selling, so I'm sure there are people who love them, but for me in my everyday life, it would just be impossible. Please bring back the more "sedate" prints that don't hurt my eyes.....just my opinion.....

I like colorful, flashy, jazzy prints ... but not necessarily those highlighted above. The dress print isn't bad - but too much for a maxi dress.

The last print (brown print shirt) isn't bad either - but that style top is not something I'd ever wear.

I'm in the middle of making a lightweight cotton/linen blend summer jacket - 18 colors - original design - combination knit and crochet.

I enjoy bright colorful prints and wear them a lot - it just seems that the ones I personally would buy are getting fewer and further between.

Here's another one from George Simonton - I've always thought he had really nice looking garments. But for some of these designers, pieces like this one and more and more of SG's look like they just threw the fabric swatches up in the air to see what would stick together! ${#emotions_dlg.w00t}$

I stay away from most of the prints on QVC. For some reason they never have a nice, feminine, pretty ditzy print. They are usually way too loud.ESP Susan Graver.

All I can say is that the hot bright colors of a couple seasons ago have been replaced by prints as a hot trend for 2014. This is not only QVC brands, but a trend which permeates fashion at every store/at all price points.

I like prints but am very selective. Some of the tribal prints are beautiful. Prefer it in blouses, scarves, or maxi dresses. No print pants-it's not a flattering look unless you are under the age of 20
