Does "sweep straight" mean the distance around the bottom of a top? I'm asking because of today's TSV the Susan Graver tiered top. The medium has a sweep straight of over 70" which seems pretty big.

The sweep is the circumference of the bottom hem of a skirt, dress, coat, or jacket. For a jacket or coat, measure the sweep across the bottom hem from open edge to open edge. For a skirt or dress, measure the sweep by laying the garment flat with seams matched, measure end to end, then double. Be sure to smooth out any fabric folds before measuring. The sweep measurement will give your buyer a good idea of the fullness of the garment at the hem area.

Straight sweep means no high low or smile hems. 70 inches is pretty big. If the fabric is lightweight a drapy, then it's not that bad. If not, you'll look like you are wearing a tent.
