What does "athletic build" mean to you?

I often see women describe themselves with an "athletic build" in clothing reviews. What does that mean? I think of broad shoulders and small hips.

More muscular, not thin build.

To me, it means smaller breasted, less curves, and relatively toned.

not boyishly thin, but has some muscle.  could also mean a large boned woman who carries weight who is not fat.

Why would athletic mean big or overweight? Wouldn't athletic mean you are fit? I guess there is no standard definition.

 

I can understand curvy, pear, or apple shaped. I don't understand athletic.

In men's clothing, athletic cut is larger.  Athletic build in clothes means it is cut larger than normal.

 

 A person having an athletic build means they have some muscles.
