It depends on where I'm going & how hot it is (West Michigan here). For church services, either white jeans & a tunic top & sandals. If we're just going out to lunch & shopping (with DH0, a pair of nice denim bermuda shorts & a nice short-sleeves T (will add a cute vest if it's not too hot) and my Rykas or Skechers. I do have a collection of cute little flowered skirts that I have been purchasing on E-Bay (I'm 5.1" so it's hard to find the right length for me). I also have a dark denim jean skirt that I love wearing with a nice tee & sandals. If I'm at home all day, it's a uniform of cargo shorts & either a tee or tank top.

I wear only clothes that are comfortable. I am plus size but always try to look nice. I don't wear many skirts or dresses. So in summer its a dark pair of crop pants or capris with a nice top and a necklace, earrings and bracelet(s). Then a pair of nice sandals. Instant outfit. My pants are always black, charcoal gray, navy or brown and I only wear knits, never woven clothes. In winter I wear a nice sweater or top, a pair of pants and shoes. I may wear an infinity scarf in winter but scarfs bug me in the hot weather. I seldom wear jeans and my go walks are for around the house or errands. They are comfy but too casual for "going out" kind of wear. I always say if its not as comfortable as a pair of pajamas, I don't wear it. Don't wear any pants with zippers or button pull on only.

I live in Southern California, so I've had a hot weather "uniform" for years. Polo style shirts look dressier than tanks and I have them in about a dozen colors. For bottoms, I wear either "skorts" with an 11 inch inseam or capri pants in either navy or black.
As for shoes, I like either a slip on clog style sneaker (Easy Spirit or Skechers) or a Clarks thong sandal which is well padded with memory foam and good arch support. Depends on how much walking I'll be doing.
None of this actually looks like a "uniform" but it really simplifies the decision making and I looked pulled together.

When I'm out, I uaually wear three pieces. No matter where I go the air condition is usually too cold.
Capris, a tank, and a shirt as a soft jacket.

Probably my favorite look to wear in the summer when going out is a natural (off-white) colored high quality linen dress, knee length to midi, espadrilles or the strappiest sandals I can wear with comfort, and big yellow gold hoop earrings. I have been turning heads for thirty years in this look. (I'm not really full of myself, I just know what works).
I never worry about linen getting wrinkly. I take a linen expert's (can't think of his name) advice and never iron my linen.
I like to carry a dark indigo denim jacket with me.
@Mustang Shar bought the Vanessa Williams ruched shoulder off-white maxi from evine. Something like that would be a good choice if you don't like linen.

Wow, I really admire your willpower! I either iron the wrinkles out myself (well, aiming for removing at least 50%) or I send it to the cleaners to dry clean and press.
I would find it very difficult to "do nothing" to wrinkled linen.

A cotton summer dress is one of the best looks which works for many spanning age, height and size, and where you are going. It works whether you are going to workplace, house of worship, some type of special occasion, or just out and about doing casual summer stuff.
